Student Ambassador Program

For over 30 years, Asian American students from Southern Washington to Oregon have gathered for the annual Asian American Youth Leadership Conference (AAYLC). This one-day event aims to deepen students' understanding and appreciation of Asian American history, culture, and contributions while fostering leadership and life skills in a supportive environment.

In an exciting restructuring effort, the roles of Student Ambassadors and the Student Planning Team have been unified into a single position for 2025. This change enhances operational efficiency and strengthens our impact.

New Structure Overview

  • Unified Role: The Student Ambassador position will now encompass responsibilities from both former roles.

  • Application Limit: We will accept a maximum of 40 Student Ambassadors, meaning not all schools will have an Ambassador this year.

  • Eligibility: Only juniors and seniors can apply, with priority given to past Student Ambassadors and Planning Team members. General applications will open in October.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a junior or senior.

  • Have prior experience in leadership, volunteer service, or community work.

  • Demonstrate self-motivation and a friendly attitude.
