Join us on November 15, 2014 – Another Fabulous HOPE DAY
We are looking forward to another fabulous HOPE Day on November 15, 2014 at Concordia University. The day will consist of a series of fun and invigorating learning activities geared toward leadership development, team building and confidence strengthening. Bernadette Basilio, Director of SAFES at The Salvation Army will be the keynote speaker. Please contact Helen at chair@aaylc.org for more details.
Here is what students are saying about the last HOPE Day that was held on June 28, 2014
Melanie – By participating in the debate, I learned how to politely communicate your arguments. I enjoyed writing the positive notes on the sidewalk because it reminded me of how small things can impact others in a large way.
Katie – My favorite part of today was participating in the debate. It was great exercising our critical thinking, especially when representing a perspective that you did not personally agree with. The group work allowed us to get to know each other and how each of us think.
David – This was a really fun experience. I found things out about myself that I didn’t really acknowledge before today.
Nghia – It was a fun productive day. I love it!
